Screen-printing runs in our blood! Our skills at the press span three generations.
It all began when William Rands began screen printing patches in 1969 as a hobby. By 1971 this hobby had grown into a full scale business. William landed a big account: A Clock Work Orange. This enabled his hobby to flourish into a growing, thriving, business. By 1975 this new and successful business named Ranart was printing four color designs on garments. William’s son Randall Rands would later follow in the footsteps of his father. In time William Rands designed his own screen printing press and revolutionized the business. This led to a significant change in his business. The printing business Ranart was renamed Ranar and started manufacturing the first affordable screen printing press! In 1981 Randall Rands started his printing business, Rands Design, his first and only son Brandon Rands was also born that year. Brandon Rands learned the business of silk screening over the years as his father’s business prospered in the rogue valley. he has over 20 years experience at the press, is an accomplished artist and muralist. Current owners, Brandon and Shavaughn Rands are both graphic artists, and create works in other artistic mediums, such as painting, drawing, and photography. Both owners have training in typography, photography and painting as well as screen printing! |
