Big Cat Fun at the Buckskin Fire, Cave Junction Oregon

Big cats, small cats, skidders and log trucks made up our Fathers Day weekend here in Cave Junction stationed at the Buckskin Fire. We even got to enjoy the lake a little bit out here at Lake Selmac. We ventured into the town of Cave Junction for a quick respite from work to visit Great Cats World Park (www.greatcatsworldpark.com). We stopped on the way for a pizza and brews at Wild River Pizza and Brew company (www.wildriverbrewing.com) The cats make you feel incredibly small and vulnerable and thankful that they are behind cages instead of behind you ready to strike. They are lovely, agile and just a little bit disconcerting but definitely worth the visit. It was a hot smokey day in the town of CV. Summer has just begun so we all better get used to the smoke. Record breaking temperatures are predicted this week. The weather will have the final word on where we end up next! Its a tough, and exciting life out here on the road.
